On December 15th 12:00PM CET, we have received information from clients that setups using specific sound cards were having sound issues. Sound output was being directed to a single side (instead of left and right).
After investigation we have concluded that the root cause of this issue is a recent change on WebRTC / Google Chrome. (references below). Google released a change for Google Chrome browser which changes the default for setting enableStereo with WebRTC. Before the change, when enableStereo was not specified the default value was off. After the change the default setting is on.
As soon as we have acknowledged this change, we delivered a hotfix to correct this issue.

Only specific setups streaming audio and video to Interprefy solution using Sound Cards were affected by this issue.
As a preventive action, we have requested some clients to use browser Firefox, which was not affected by this issue.
Interprefy reviewed all other settings which are left as default and updated it. Moreover, this use case was also added to our list of test cases.
This issue was solved on December 16th 9AM CET. A hotfix was delivered and the sound issue is solved and confirmed with some clients.
